Gantleys' Brewhall
Gantleys' Brewhall

Tucked behind one of Queenstown’s oldest buildings, the Brewhall was conceived to sit comfortably alongside the original schist building – and at the same time to form its own, contemporary language and interpretation of the local vernacular. Dry stacked schist gables bookend a modern precast concrete form, with large expanses of glass to the northern courtyard and garden.

The entry sequence invites the crowd into an intimate, welcoming moment before opening up the to the event space with a working brewery beyond as a backdrop. The building has been designed as a flexible space accommodating both seated and standing events across a variety of sizes and formats.
